Watercolour Flower Nail Art

Hello readers!

Apologies for my lack of posts, I think it's going to be this way for a while now..mind you I was never a regular poster anyway! I'm just a bit busy being pregnant and tired these days and it's less than 7 weeks until my due date so I'm trying to get organised. Crazy times.

I have a bit of nail art today. I was asked by a friend to come up with something she could wear on her nails to a wedding in a few weeks. Her dress is white, pink, orange and blue and I immediately thought of flowers. This lead me down the 'watercolour' path. I'm not sure these are quite watercolour as the colours haven't been diluted a whole lot but I like the effect non-the-less.

I used Nina 'French White', OPI 'Kiss me on my Tulips', Revlon 'Siren', Barry M 'Cobalt Blue', OPI 'Vant to Bite my Neck' and Ciate 'Mojito'. This is the first time I've attempted a watercolour type nail art effect and I really do like it. The trick is to not over think it, as I discovered after a couple of disasters.

I didn't use a tutorial for these and kind of just went with the flow. I sometimes find tutorials make me worry too much about the end result looking exactly like the one on the tutorial and so I end up failing miserably. I hope you like these!

I feel all summery :)
