Today I have some rather overdue swatches of two beautiful polishes from Taras Talons (sorry Tara!). Tara was lovely enough to send me Posh Plum and The Purple Traitor.
You may notice a change in my nail shape here as my middle nail is playing silly bugger and just keeps breaking, so I've decided to 'ovalise' them (that is a word, honest). I'm kind of liking this nail shape so it may stay.
First up is Posh Plum.
Posh Plum is a 'purple polish with fine purple and pink glitter'. I would also describe this as a satin finish and it leans to a more metallic shade of purple. A stunning polish and absolutely unique to my collection. This is 3 thin coats with top coat but you can easily get away with 2 coats.
The Purple Traitor.
Oh what can I say about purple traitor?! When I first swatched this I had a little trouble with it leveling and contacted Tara who suggested putting it over a black polish. Fair to say she really knows her products and it worked a treat! I love this polish. My photos really don't do it justice.
In the bottle it's a purple polish with a bright blue shimmer but it's quite sheer so definitely needs to be layered like this. Layering it over black gives a sort of blue finish that really reminds me of a night sky. Shown is one coat of The Purple Traitor over W7 Black and a coat of top coat.
You can purchase Tara's Talons from her Etsy Store or the Tara Emporium Website. Be sure to follow Tara's Twitter and Facebook pages for all the up to date info!
