Sugar Spun Heart Nail Art

Hello there!

Today I have some sugar spun, textured heart nail art. I thought of doing this as I was about to nod off to sleep the other night and quickly noted it down before I forgot! If you've read my blog in the past you'll know how much I love the 'sugar spun' look and I really wanted to try and do the effect with a shape.

I started with a base of Nina 'French White' and allowed to dry. Then I cut out a heart shape in a piece of tape and applied to my nail, whilst allowing my three polishes for the heart to go gloopy on a piece of foil (around 10 minutes wait). For the sugar spun effect I used Collection 'Raspberry' & 'Think Pink' and Barielle 'Allie's Lace Cover Up'.

I used a cocktail stick to fill the heart with the gloopy polish, creating the effect and then peeled away the tape whilst it was still wet. I used the cocktail stick to dot in any areas that had been missed and was left with this! (Does any of that make sense?!).

I'm super happy with how this turned out! I was going to try and attempt this on all my nails but decided to leave it at just the one and I'm really happy with the result. The Collection polishes I used are great, as a side note. They are a gel-like finish and are almost a one coater- I applied 2 for a perfect finish.
