Pahlish Coney Island Queen Collection

I'm baaack! I have missed you lovely people. I had a great holiday in Egypt with my fiance, lots of relaxing and sunbathing was done. It was a shock stepping off the plane to a chilly 8 degrees this morning I can tell you.

Today I have the Pahlish Coney Island Queen Collection that I had been desperate to buy and finally scooped it when it went on sale *happy dance*.

I did these swatches over a few weeks so my nails are all at different lengths and my hands are at different shades of tan lol. All swatches show the polish with top coat.

Anticipating and Pacing.

Anticipating and Pacing (try and say that fast) is a burnt red cream, with a slight jelly finish. This is packed with royal blue glitters and red and blue shimmer. I applied 2 coats above; it was a little on the thick side (as were all of them actually) so I found it best to wait until the previous coat was almost completely dry before applying the second coat.

Coney Island Queen.

Coney Island Queen is a gorgeous light cream with lots of tiny gold flakes and gold shimmer. It's a little less yellow than my photo above. I applied 3 coats for full opacity.

His Favourite Sundress.

His Favourite Sundress is a muted orange based coral. This one is confusing- I can't quite decide if it's pastel or just a little too bright to be. Regardless, it's very pretty (although it does nothing for my skintone) and is again packed with orange and gold glitter and shimmer. I applied 2 coats for opacity.

Mind Like a Diamond.

Mind Like a Diamond is a concrete grey with purple shimmer and darker grey flecks. I really wanted to love this one but it just fell a little flat for me. I'm willing to give it another go though before I throw it to the lions. I found application with this a little on the tough side too; the formula was quite thick and it needed 3 coats for opacity.

Singing in the Garden.

Singing in the Garden is a pale pastel green with green glitter and green shimmer. This was much easier to apply and only took 2 coats for full opacity. This one is a perfect spring green, nothing bad to say about this.

Sugar Venom.

Sugar Venom is a bubblegum pastel pink with fuschia pink glitters and a pink shimmer. This just looks like the sweetest tootache-inducing candy. I wasn't sure about the shade of pink for my skin tone but as the day wore on I started to like it more. This one took 2 coats for full opacity.

Overall I like this collection. I was a little disappointed in the formulas as they were very crelly-like and thick, but the shades themselves are all completely unique to my collection. I believe the Pahlish etsy shop is shut now but you can buy off the Pahlish big cartel store. My favourites of the collection are Anticipating and Pacing and Coney Island Queen.
