a-England Briar Rose and Sleeping Palace

Hello!

So on Sunday I was a very lucky girl as my fiance bought me two of the new a England polishes from the Burne-Jones Dream Collection! I definitely didn't take advantage of his drunk, good-willed nature and point him to the website.

Briar Rose and Sleeping Palace appeared in the mail today and I couldn't wait to swatch them!

Sleeping Palace.

Sleeping Palace is a gorgeous aubergine purple/plum with a very strong holographic finish. It went on perfectly in one coat and I topped it with Seche Vite as it dries to a satin finish. Good news, top coat doesn't dull the holo at all!

I literally chased the sun around my garden to get photos of this polish in the natural sunlight. If my neighbours didn't think I was crazy already, they do now!

Briar Rose.

Briar Rose is a stunning dusty pink with another super strong holographic finish. This went on perfectly in 2 coats. You could easily get away with one coat here but I went a little too thin on my first coat.

Unfortunately I couldn't get a decent sunlight photo of Briar Rose as the sun was setting, so the photo below is more sunset than natural sunlight. Still, you get the idea of just how gorgeous it is!

These polishes aren't available on the website yet, but you can email Adina if you want to grab them! They're £9 each with free UK Shipping. Llarowe are carrying them for the international girls. I would definitely recommend looking at some more swatches of the other new releases such as Fated Prince, Briarwood (not released yet) and Rose Bower (think Perceval with some serious holo action!).

In other news, I'm thinking of making some changes around here cosmetic-wise, so don't be surprised if things look a little different in the near future! I'm also hoping to start doing more nail art too..get back to basics a little :) I'm open to suggestions!
