piCture pOlish Dorothy and Monroe

Hello!
Wow, sorry for my week long no-show. Life has been a bit busy this week but I think I'm back on track now. Today I have piCture pOlish Dorothy and Monroe to show you. These are my first piCture pOlishes and they did not disappoint!

First up I just wanted to do a quick comparison. I've seen a lot of swatches of these two polishes and I thought they were going to be really similar, they're not.

Monroe definitely leans more purple than red, just a little info for you :)

So onto the individual swatcharoonies...
Dorothy really surprised me, in a good way. I was expecting this to be really Christmassy but it so isn't. It leans towards a pinky red making it suitable for all year round *yey! woohoo!*. Application was perfect, needing barely two coats for full opacity. Dorothy is jam packed full of silver and red glitter. The particles are sooo tiny it creates a really deep, sparkly shimmer. Yum yum yum. Love it!

Monroe is a gorgeous burgundy (I hate that word) red with scattered holographic glitter. This one is more of a jelly finish but was still great after 2 coats. I had to do a little colour correcting here as my camera wanted it to be more purple like Zoya Aurora and they are definitely not in the same colour category. It's still not 'bang on' as it's a touch more red in real life.

I wore Dorothy for a couple of days and suffered little to no chipping...unheard of with my polish hating nails! I have to say I am super impressed with these polishes and will definitely be purchasing more. Us UK ladies can now purchase piCture pOlish from Sally Magpies...winner! I was lucky enough to grab these from a blog sale so saved a few pennies but I think they're well worth their full price!
