Hello lovely readers,
Today I have six polishes from Different Dimension to show you and man are they beauts!
This post is very picture heavy!! I'll get straight to it.
"Black Dahlia is a black leaning greyish purple scattered holographic polish with hints of different colors reflected in the light, it also has micro iridescent glitters in it."
Black Dahlia is simply stunning. This is 3 coats with a topcoat of Seche Vite. The colours in this polish constantly shifted; can you see the purple shimmer in there too? The iridescent glitters really set this apart from other grey/black holos out there. I can't fault this one at all.
"Wide Awake is a light pink scattered holographic polish with hints of different colors reflected in the light (a hot pink 'flash')"
Wide Awake applied in 2 easy coats. The first coat was a little sheer but it built up really easily. I can't even express the love I have for this polish. In standard daylight (as in a cloudy grey day in England) the holographic is still very visible, but in the sunshine (or under a lamp as above) it is just wow. There's a fuchsia shimmer running through it too that really catches your eye (but difficult to catch on camera). Wide Awake is named after Katy Perry's song of the same name...being a closet Katy Perry fan makes me like this even more haha.
"Stronger is a blue leaning periwinkle scattered holographic polish, with hints of different colors reflected in the light."
"Squarey Hexy has a clear base with squares and hexes in all different sizes.
Holographic pink, purple, green, blue and silver make up this amazing glitter topper!"
I layered Squarey Hexy over OPI 'Vant to Bite My Neck' and topped with two coats of Seche Vite for a smooth finish. The formula for this was great, I used one full coat per nail and then dabbed a couple of spots of glitter where I wanted a bit more coverage. I love the colour combinations for this and of course the fact that it's holographic too is always a bonus!
"Yours, Mine and Flowers is a cute mix of pastel glitters in a variety of sizes with pink flowers in a clear base."
I layered Yours Mine and Flowers over China Glaze Tart-y For the Party (the other half's choice!) and topped with Rimmel 3D Plumping Top Coat. I found it was best to turn the bottle upside down for a few minutes then apply one coat and dab on any extra bits of glitter you want. Turning the bottle upside down meant the flower glitters came out really easily. Removal for this was like any other glitter- a pain, but I think it's worth it! I love the matte pastel glitters, they're really cute and girly and even the flower glitters don't offend me too much. This is perfect for Spring.
"Orion Nebula has a black jelly base with different sized fuchsia circular glitters (some holographic) in it."
I layered Orion Nebula over Revlon Black Lingerie and topped with Rimmel 3D Plumping Top Coat. Again this was best applied after turning the bottle upside down for a few minutes. I found the glitters went on a little sparsely so I had to dig a bit, but nothing too major. I love this polish. It's so in your face but in a good way! The holographic discs catch in the light and there's no way you can ignore this on your nails. I think next time I'd wear this on it's own rather than with undies, just to try and avoid the clumpy texture on some of my nails; but I think that may be to do with where the larger discs fell-some fell right on the curve of my nail which made them look like they stuck out a little...they didn't.
So that's my Different Dimension Swatchathon!! If you made it this far you're a legend, pat yourself on the back *yeeehaaa!*. My picks are Wide Awake, Black Dahlia and Orion Nebula.
