Aqua Glitteroony and a bit of a moan

Hello my awesome readers!

I canny believe I've made it to 90 followers through GFC! Oh my lordy. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my mumblings :)

Today I have Barry M Aqua Glitter to show you. This has been on my wishlist for some time now and I finally picked it up a couple of days ago. I'm not usually a fan of such 'girly' glitters but there was something about this that was calling my name.

I layered one coat of Aqua Glitter over one coat of Barry M Gelly in Blue Plum. There is a massive amount of glitter in just one coat! I love this combo, it makes the Aqua Glitter look much more wearable. I wish my camera could pick up the  awesomeness of this polish but you'll just have to take my word for it :)

This is Blue Plum on its own without top coat and it's a fab colour! I'm in love with Barry M Gellies at the minute.

Now onto a whole other topic. My nails are currently in the worst state they've ever been. They're thin, peeling and really sore due to a number of factors including breaking them over and over. They have literally just peeled away right down to my nail bed on my pinky and ring finger. The photo you see with the Blue Plum is how they were a couple of days ago (not too bad) and the photos with the Aqua Glitter are how they are today-yak (you can just see where there is no nail on the end of my ring and pinky).

I've started using Nail Tek Xtra to see if this will help the situation and I'll try and show you a before and after photo in a couple of weeks. Have you ever used Nail Tek? I'm feeling a bit of a stinging after applying it for the first time so I hope by nails don't completely fall off! Fingers crossed this shizzle works as I'm at the end of my nail tether!

  1. What a gorgeous combo - I've tried Aqua on it's own and it's a bit in your face, this is so much better. On the subject of flaky, chippy nails, I had the same problem until my friend gave me Nailtiques Formula 2, I use it as a base coat and it's really helped:) Hope your nails feel better soon.

    1. Thank you! I will check out nailtiques if nail tek fails on me! The reviews look great :) You should definitely try Aqua with darker underwear!

  2. Lovely manicure, really like how the gelly looks with the glitter on top. I can also recommend Nailtiques 2 - I use it every winter until about March time, otherwise my nails split and are nubbins until about June.
