a-England Swatchathon

Hello lovely readers and a very happy new year!

I have some a-England for you today. These were Christmas presents off my other half and the lovely Rachel of Phoenix Nails. You may have seen me use a couple of these polishes in previous posts as nail art, I've definitely used Holy Grail before, but I thought I'd show you them as full manicures.

Ophelia is part of the Gothic Beauties collection and is a very deep, dark purple. It looks black most of the time but when the light hits it just right the purple really shimmers. The formula was perfect on this, almost a one coater but I used two here with a top coat of W7 Diamond. It dried super quick too which is always a nice bonus! The first time I wore this I was a bit gutted the purple wasn't as obvious, it looked black no matter what light I was in, but after wearing it again I absolutely love it.

Saint George has been on my wish list since day one and I'm so happy I finally have it! It is part of The Legends collection and is just the most stunning emerald green with the perfect amount of holographic shimmer. I wore two coats here with a top coat of W7 Diamond but to be honest it really doesn't need a top coat. The top coat seemed to dull the holographic effect. It's impossible to capture how beautiful this is on camera, but trust me when I say you need this! Another perfect formula and fast drying too.

Holy Grail is from the Mythicals Collection and this is the new, updated version. I'm not a massive lover of gold usually but I really like this one. It has a slight green tinge to it and looks almost antique. The finish to this is quite grainy so I think a top coat definitely brings the best out of this one. I wouldn't normally wear gold as full mani so this is my go to for 'sophisticated stamping' nail art like I did in this post. I wore three coats here but you can definitely get away with two.

 rubbish indoor lighting!
