Candy Cane Lady

Hello my Lovely readers!

I hope you're having a great weekend. Mine has gone sooo fast! I've spent most of my Sunday 'spring cleaning' (bit late on that one) and making a second set of shelves to house my polishes. I'm going to be investing in a Helmer pretty soon I think!

Today I have some candy cane nails to show you. I came across Essie's Leading Lady collection in my local Boots yesterday and nearly screamed with excitement! I haven't seen it anywhere (in UK stores) up until yesterday so I treated myself to Leading Lady. I think she's the perfect choice for today's nail art.

I used a base of W7 'White' and striped them up before adding Leading Lady. I love how deep the red is in this and the glitter is perfect for Christmas. It's not too glittery to scare those of you who aren't crazy about glitter. I'd definitely recommend it for the office party :)
I really like these (*blows own trumpet*); they're so simple but really eye catching. Although I have to say, striping tape is NOT my friend. I always lose the end and I actually ended up cutting my striping tape wheel in half. Must find an easier way of creating stripes!

  3. I always lose the end of my striping tape too. Cutting it in half sounds like a great solution.
