I'm treating you to a double post today, aren't I kind. I've been meaning to do this post for a couple of weeks now and I've finally found time. I nipped into TKMaxx the other week to see if they had any bargains and I came across some Color Club and Models Own that I had no choice but to buy. I'll be showing you the Models Own today.
I picked up these three for £6.00. As they usually retail for £5.00 each it's pretty safe to say that these were a very sensible purchase (convinces herself).
They are 'Concrete Mixer', 'Mushroom' and 'Foxy Fucshia'.
First up is Concrete Mixer:
This is a greeny/beige and is super opaque. You could get away with one thick coat of this, I applied two thinner ones and a top coat of Seche Vite.
I'm really impressed with how easy this went on, applying it was an actual dream. It looked a lot nicer on the nail that it did in the bottle too, minus my cold red hands.
Next up, Mushroom:
Mushroom isn't what I would call this if I could change its name. It's more of a slate grey than a mushroomy colour. Regardless, it was just like Concrete Mixer in application, super opaque and dried quickly. This is again two coats with one coat of Seche Vite. I really like this much more than I expected to as I'm not usually a fan of grey polishes.
And Foxy Fuchsia:
somebody forgot cuticle cream!
Foxy Fucshia is a really vibrant pinky red and goes on just as easily as the other two. I really liked this shade which surprised me as it was the one I was least bothered about. I'm not usually a big wearer of pink, so the fact it had a more red tint to it made it a lot more 'me'.
In fact I liked this shade so much I put a bit of 'nail art' on there and wore it all day (I say 'nail art' in the loosest possible way!)
I have only every owned one other Models Own polish before (apart from the rubbish Wah nail pens) which was a glitter, so this is definitely going to be the start of many more. In fact, I do believe I just placed an order (mahahahaaaa).
Are you a Models Own fan!?
