The Lazy 15 Challenge Day 7

Good morning my fellow nail obsessives!

I would say 'thank god it's Friday' but I'm feeling sorry for myself as I have to work all weekend! I hope you all have a fab weekend planned though?

Today's challenge is 'feminine nails'. For some reason I really struggled coming up with something for this. I kept thinking flowers and lace and all things not very 'me' and they just weren't working for me. I even got my stamps out which have been in hiding for a while, but I just couldn't get a look I was happy with. I settled on this design instead:

This design probably isn't very 'feminine' but I like it regardless. I used OPI 'Don't Pretzel my Buttons' as a base and sort of swept on Umberto Giannini's 'Lady Violetta' to create the feathered effect, then I applied a top-coat of Seche Vite (that's right, I've joined the Seche club!).

I'm quite happy with today's mani. I'm even happier I got it done in time as it was looking like I wouldn't be able to post till after 10pm tonight...not cool. This design is actually a NOTD (nail of the day) for me too, both hands have the same design on which never happens!

Let me know what you think and don't forget to check out the rest of today's entries for the challenge!

 Enjoy your weekend!

    1. Thank you :) I used a fine nail art brush to sort of flick the colour on...it's hard to describe but I started at the free edge of my nail and swept up towards the cuticle. I hope this makes sense!?

  4. Love it! Particularly love a beige as a base for something arty:). I went the boring route but I had fun with stamping for the first time:)
